The math edtech
At House of Math, I am currently working on the mission of creating the #1 mathematics platform in the world!
Through gamification, we have created level-up systems, learning paths, a global leaderboard, a dragon pet companion and 4 new games for math learning.
The platform has currently over 1.900.000 registered users, and we have recently launched a Ukranian version of the site in support of our friends in Ukraine!
The point & click adventure about
Black Metal
What would it be like if LucasArts and Sierra got together and made an adventure game about Black Metal set to Norway in the nineties, with lots of unfair deaths and zany puzzles? We’re trying to find out!
Scheduled for release: when it’s done!

The game design teacher
Since 2014, I have been so fortunate to be able to teach game developement to students at Buskerud Folk College. Using software like Unity, Blender and Aseprite and learning how to script in C# and Bolt, students are making their own computer games in no time!
Also, we arrange cosplay workshops, travel on study trips and experiment with new tech like VR and 3D printers!
Previously, I have also taught a semester of Interactive 3D Design at Inland University of Applied Sciences. In this course, students learnt 3D level design and creating interaction in the Unreal Editor.
The ambitious student project
Trollblod was a student project that was developed while studying for my BA at the Inland University of Applied Sciences. The project won two awards at the Norwegian Game Awards 2008.
Unfortunately, the game is no longer in a playable state. It was developed for web browsers and the plug-in is no longer available. You can see the game trailer with in-game footage below.

The edutainment prototypes
I helped to design and develop two prototypes for traffic learning games. One was targetted to learning kids how to navigate in traffic, the other towards adults training for their driver’s license.
The job involved research, making a game design document and developing the prototype in Unity. The project was funded by Innovation Norway.

The game design internship
I did my internship at Daedalic Entertainment in Hamburg, Germany. There, I worked mainly on two games: 1 1/2 Ritter, a game based on a German Warner Bros. movie with the same name, and also the critically acclaimed The Whispered World.
My duties included working on game design documents, puzzle design, scripting, testing, storyboarding, cutscenes, audio, etc.
Adventure games have been a passion my whole life, so working at Daedalic was fun and rewarding. I learned a lot!
While 1 1/2 Ritter might be hard to get ahold of at this point, The Whispered World is available on Steam! There’s even a demo available here.
What else?
I wrote a lot of news items and a few articles for Adventure Gamers between 1999 - 2007. (Link to random month in 2003).
