The ambitious student project

Throughout my three years at Inland University of Applied Sciences I was working continuously on a game project alongside three other students.

Trollblod was an 3D adventure game, set to a medieval Norway. The story involved the main character who returned to his home after a long travel, only to find his village ravaged by the Black Death. You would encounter magic and the supernatural, and the discovery of an ancient Troll bloodline.

The game development took place between 2005 - 2008 and it was scripted and developed in the Virtools game engine. It was playable in a web browser through the 3D Via Web Player.

The project won Best Web-based Game and The Jury’s Honourary Award at the Norwegian Game Awards 2008.
